DCB Extreme Adventures, Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department and Giant Bicycles are proud to bring you the 2008 Dust Devil Mountain Bike Series. We invite you to join us at McDowell Mountain Regional Park, near Fountain Hills. We have tons of fun coming your way this season so don't miss out on any of these events. EVENT SCHEDULE The GIANT Dust Devil Series has a race for every level of rider. 6:30 a.m. Packet pick up and late registration at race site 8:00 a.m. Marathon 9:00 a.m.Cross Country races 11:00 a.m. Kid's race (12 and under) KIDS 14 and under are FREE!! Just show up and check in at registration with a guardian RACE SUPPORT We will have Kachina Medical Rescue personal and DCB staff on the course. On the mountain bike there will be a feed zone for riders to utilize. Don't forget to grab a bite and a drink at the post-race food tent. COST Marathon $40 Cross Country $30 Kid's Race FREE Online entry closes October 30 at Noon. Race day registration will be available at the site with no late entry fee. Please plan on getting their early if you intend to register for the event the day of the race. ACCOMODATIONS & CAMPING

Fountain Hills is the nearest metropolitan area to McDowell Mountain Regional Park. PARKING

Entry to the park is $6. It is the athletes responsibilty to pay for and display their parking pass. Please park in designated areas.

NORBA All Giant Dust Devil events are sanctioned by NORBA. One of the conditions of sanctioning is that each athlete must be either an annual NORBA member (and provide proof of such) or purchase a one day license for $5 also, please remember to bring your photo ID. Although the kid's race is free each participant must have a NORBA waiver.

AWARDS Awards will be presented to the top three males and females in each category. Series points will be tabulated for all three Dust Devil events and series awards presented at Dawn to Dusk.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS The starting and finishing area for all of the races will be at a staging area at the mouth of the parking area at the competitive track. This is also the place for registration and bike maintenance. There are three combinations of loops for this event: The descriptions are given so that you will take a connector trail from one trail to the next, not doing each individually. If you are confused, look at the maps and it should be clear.

CROSS COUNTRY The competitive track was designed specifically for cross-country mountain bike racing. We have various options for this event and for each of the classes. Please read your specific category's description, you will be responsible for knowing it come race day.
